Kevin Schaeffer just
finished his first pro season on Saturday when the Portland
Pirates defeated the Providence Bruins in the AHL.
The Providence Bruins are the affiliate to the Boston
Bruins. Now that his season is over, he will be joining the
Jr. Hurricanes Staff as assistant coach of the Jets
Spring team. Kevin looks to make his first
appearance at the Hub Cup Tournament in June.
Kevin played four
years for Boston University and prior to attending
BU, he played for Jr. Hurricanes Head Coach Shawn Ray.
Kevin has been a member of the Jets spring team coaching
staff and an instructor at the Unique Hockey Schools for
well over seven years. Unique Hockey is a hockey school
that runs spring and summer camps throughout the country.
Last year, Kevin took the Jets 94 team to the Hub Cup and
walked away with the championship trophy and he looks to
continue the winning tradition again this year. The Jr.
Hurricanes staff is looking forward to having Kevin join
them this year.
