Zelanka is Heading to
St. Cloud
The Jets AAA
defensemen Kyle Zelanka is heading to St. Cloud, MN
in August to represent the NY District Select 15 Team.
Kyle, who is 5’10 and weighs 155lbs, has been playing
for the Jets AAA Team for several years and played
for the NJ Avalanche Bantam Major team last year.
Last year, Zelanka
played a very important role on the blue line for the Jets,
as they competed in several tournaments. Such tournaments
were the Stockholm Cup in Sweden, The Warrior Classic in
Montreal and the Hub Cup Tournament in Bridgewater, MA.
“Kyle has been working extremely hard over the last four
years to improve his game. He has been training on and off
the ice and is reaping the reward of all that work. I am
very proud of him and I look forward to working with him
again in the near future.” Say’s Head Coach of the
Jets Shawn Ray.
Kyle will be in the
Jets uniform again in June as he prepares for the Hub Cup
Tournament. Next year, Kyle will be playing on a Jr.
B Team in the Empire Jr. Hockey League where he will be
stepping up from bantams to Jr’s. “I am very confident
that he will be ready to play. He came from the Avalanche
program, where they have very good coaches and a great
program.” Ads Shawn |
