Goddard Heading to Walpole Express

Jeb Goddard found a home for the upcoming 2008-09 season as he makes his commitment to the Walpole Express of the Atlantic Junior A. Hockey League today.  Goddard who played a key role in the Hurricanes inaugural Jr. B season last year will be playing for former NHLer and now Head Coach Mark Kumble.  Mark is looking forward to having Jeb next year and feels that he will play a major role on the blue line for the Express.

Goddard will be heading north for training camp mid August and is looking forward to playing for coach Kumble and gaining some experience at the Jr A. level.  “I am really looking forward to next year and the opportunity that the Express are giving me.  Playing for the Hurricanes and Coach Ray gave me the knowledge and experience to play at the next level and I feel I am ready to do that,” say’s Jeb.

Jeb will be competing against former teammates John McGinnis, Jake Ninko (Cyclones), and Matt McClellan (Bulldogs) next year as they all will be entering their rookie season as Jr. A. players.  “The entire Hurricane organization wishes these young men the very best and we look forward to watching them play next year,” say’s Head Coach / GM Shawn Ray.
